The Vivo X Fold 2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC was launched in the company's home country in April. Now it looks like Vivo is making a splash with its new foldable smartphone called Vivo. The foldable phone offers 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is expected to launch alongside the Vivo Pad 3.
Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) has published the key specifications of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro on Weibo. According to the whistleblower, the upcoming sophisticated device will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The device is said to have an internal foldable LTPO display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Both displays are expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is said to have a slimmer profile and weight than the Vivo X Fold 2. It is said to weigh less than 250 grams. On the other hand, the Vivo X Fold 2 weighs 279 grams. It is expected to come with 100W wired charging and also support 50W wireless charging.
Optically, the Vivo camera unit is expected to include a 100mm periscope telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and an ultra-wide-angle camera. Vivo is expected to include a Sony LYT-900 camera sensor as the main camera.
The tipster also replied to his post and suggested that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will launch alongside the Vivo Pad 3 in the first quarter of next year. The tablet may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.
