What's new in Android 14 on Samsung Galaxy?
Android 14 isn't a major update, but it brings some important changes to the world's most popular smartphone operating system. The changes we've detailed previously include additions like UltraHDR support, share menu improvements, lock screen changes, official support for Flash notifications, and more.
However, many new features for Pixel phones are already present on Samsung smartphones, such as a new lock screen. What's new in Galaxy?
One UI 6 is Samsung's latest Android skin based on Android 14, bringing several important changes such as a new "Quick Access Toolbar" design for quick settings, the ability to change wallpaper depending on the time of day or certain modes, and extensions including lock screen customization options, a new camera widget, a new weather widget, as well as new emoticons and a new system default font.
Samsung Devices with Android 14: Complete List
On October 30, 2023, Samsung officially released the Android 14 update for its current flagship phones, just 26 days after updating its Google Pixel devices. That's six days since its release last year, but much quicker as the Pixels are updating much earlier in 2022.

Galaxy S devices running Android 14
In October 2023, Samsung began rolling out One UI 6 on the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in select countries around the world. This disease originally started in Europe, but then spread throughout the world, including the United States. In mid-November, Samsung released an update for the new Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 FE series, but only for the Exynos models; The update also appears on Galaxy S21 devices.

Galaxy foldable widely available with Android 14
On November 21, Samsung started rolling out Android 14 on its latest foldable device Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which has been widely available since December. Towards the end of December 2023, Samsung released an update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3/Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4, completing the release of Android 14 for the foldable devices.

The first Galaxy A series device to receive the One UI 6 update is the Galaxy A54, which received the update on November 21 from AT&T at US. . The next day, the Galaxy A73 was updated in Iran, and the ultra-affordable Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A14 5G weren't left behind either. Samsung has also released Android 14 for the Galaxy A24 and Galaxy A53. The Galaxy A52s was also updated in most regions, including Europe and India, and in late December, the Galaxy A52 was also updated.

Galaxy Tablet with Android 14 On
November 22, Samsung released the first Android 14 update for its tablets with the launch of the Galaxy Tab S9 series, which is now available. The update is available in most countries and for the Galaxy Tab S8 series in some regions.
In December, Samsung also rolled out the One UI 6 update to its latest tablets Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9+ FE and rolled it out to the Tab S8 in other regions.

Will my Galaxy device receive Android 14?
Of course, not all Samsung smartphones and tablets have Android 14. The update is in line with Samsung's current update policy. This means that every flagship phone released since 2021 is eligible because they all have at least four major Android OS updates. However, the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Flip/5G launched in 2020 will not be updated, Samsung has confirmed due to an error on the company's part.
In general, every Samsung smartphone or tablet released in the last two years will be updated to Android 14. The update will still be available for slightly older devices, but only for more expensive hardware like the Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and others. Galaxy Tab S line
Samsung's Android 14 Update Schedule
The status of Samsung's official schedule for Android 14 and One UI 6 updates is a bit confusing, with one schedule being removed early. But in November, the company released a more official program in the Samsung Members app in select countries, giving us a good idea of what to expect.
The list below is based on Samsung's official Android 14 release schedule, and we continue to update it as more devices are updated.
If last year's Android 13 update is anything to go by, Samsung will likely discontinue its core lineup before 2024.
