Galaxy Unpacked goes extreme
Samsung's annual Galaxy Unpacked event took place this week and announced three major products: the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus (possibly paired), and the Galaxy Book. We care about smartphones. Forbes' Patrick Moorhead attended the presentation and spent time with him.
“Samsung says the Galaxy S23 Ultra offers Samsung's most advanced Galaxy camera system with enhanced night photography that enhances photos and videos taken at night. Over the years, Samsung has improved its ability to take pictures at night using pixel binning technology. Pixel binning combines more pixels on a higher megapixel sensor to create images with fewer megapixels but capture more light for better night photography.

Write changes to the Galaxy S23
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus were also in the mix; two phones close enough that the best way to go between them and the S23 Ultra makes for a good comparison article. Sarina Dayaram breaks the news... it's all about the S-Pen.
“The Note-like new features of the Galaxy S23 Ultra set it apart from the rest of the S23 series and other high-end phones from competitors such as Apple and Xiaomi. This is the second time the Galaxy S Ultra phone has come with a stylus included in the box. Additionally, the phone has a pen slot, just like Samsung's nearly discontinued Note series. This."

Keep the S23 as long as possible
The new Unpacked thing that will affect the smartphone industry (or many hope) is the update mode. Samsung said that all S2e phones will receive four Android operating system updates and five years of security updates. More than this please.
“Support for the Galaxy S23 series will not end in 2026. The flagship trio is expected to receive security patches five years after launch, meaning Samsung will support these phones until at least 2028. Of course they won't get any updates. important. when they have Android 17, probably late 2026 or early 2027, but security patch support will continue for a while."

Get ready to make a deposit
We have a preview of Oppo's upcoming foldable smartphones, most notably the Find N2. With Mobile World Congress later this month, many manufacturers are expected to unveil new phones. So I doubt we'll have to wait much longer for this leak to be confirmed;
“Find N2 Flip features a clamshell design, impressive specs, slim design and large display. All this makes the folding model the main competitor of Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip range. The promotional material highlights a number of key aspects. Oppo foldable devices. OnePlus introduces yet another new phone
Ahead of its big launch on Monday, February 7, OnePlus teased the OnePlus 11R phone. Presumably aimed at the Indian market, the 11R favors the power of the OnePlus 10T over the imaging capabilities of the OnePlus 10 Pro;
“The OnePlus 11R is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is the same chip used in the OnePlus 10T and a successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the OnePlus 11. The phone uses a vapor chamber cooling system that appears to be identical. to the OnePlus 10T and approximately 64% larger than the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Awaiting arrival at 13:00
Xiaomi's new '13' phones, namely the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, are also awaiting confirmation ahead of the MWC news release. If the models follow the pattern of previous years, this is a budget phone with the latest SnapDragon technology and expanded memory and storage options.
"...Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available from March 8. Furthermore, the source claims that Xiaomi will have a pre-order period, although it did not say when it will start. According to the Xiaomi MWC 2023 preview, the pre-order period for the Xiaomi 13 series could last only a week.

And finally...
At one point, Chinese manufacturer Huawei, poised to significantly expand its U.S. presence, was placed on a U.S. entity list in 2019, limiting the ability of U.S. companies to sell Huawei. Jenny Leonard and Ian King report this week that the Biden administration will deny any additional applications and allow existing licenses to expire, effectively blocking any sales;
Intel and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. supply Huawei with processors that it uses in its Mate line of laptops, while Qualcomm sells Huawei processors and modems that are key components of its limited line of smartphones.
