Vivo Y200e 5G Spotted On BIS Certification Website; Could Launch In India Soon: Report

Vivo Y200e 5G will be launched in India soon. After recently appearing on the Google Play Console and GeekBench listings, the phone has reportedly been spotted on the BIS India certification site. The phone will reportedly join the Vivo Y200 5G, which launched in India in October 2023 and features a 64MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, and a 4,800mAh battery. While the upcoming phone is said to be priced slightly lower than the Y200, leaks suggest that it may be powered by a newer chipset.

The BIS certification list found by MySmartPrice shows the Vivo brand and model number V2336. According to a report by 91Mobiles, the model numbers match those recently spotted on GeekBench V4.0 and Bluetooth SIG listings. What is interesting, however, is that it is different from the V2327 model number listed on the Google Play console, which also shares the name of the Vivo Y200e 5G smartphone. The reason for this change is unknown.

Despite the differences, the core specifications of the Vivo Y200e 5G are the same. According to reports, the phone might be powered by an octa-core chip with model number SM4450. The serial number refers to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is said to be paired with an Adreno 613 GPU and 8GB of RAM. The phone's RAM capacity or other memory parameters are currently unknown. The phone may also come with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Also, the phone may come with a Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2400.

The Google Play Console listing also reveals the phone's alleged design. On the Vivo Y200e certification portal, 5G is displayed in blue. Additional color options are likely to be available at launch. The camera module and overall design theme are similar to the recently launched Vivo Y series models.

The triple rear camera, located in vertically arranged cutouts, is mounted in a rectangular module. This module also has an LED flash. The back panel has a textured look and the front panel has a central hole for the front camera. The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the phone.
