'We Live And Breathe Music,' House And Techno Returns To Valleys With Special Event

A GWENT member has organized a special event to bring house and techno music to the Valleys in a bid to bring live music back to Wales' doorstep.

Ieuan Haile from Caerphilly organized his event at Haile's House to give the people of South Wales a live music event they can enjoy in a comfortable local venue.

Ewan said: “The Valleys live and breathe music in many forms and genres, and I always thought about bringing life back to our valley rather than going to the capital or crossing the border into England to enjoy house music. And it remained that way, which I really wanted to do.

The event was held in June 2023 and attracted a "huge" turnout, with dozens already registered at the Bedwas Workers' Hall in early February this year.

The money raised at this event is split between funding the next event and the Jessie Charitable Music Fund, a charity that provides music education and equipment to children with severe disabilities who use music to communicate and learn.

Ewan has been impressed with the level of response the event has received since its inception and hopes to see the event grow every year.

He added: “The ad at the beginning of the event generated amazing numbers, more than I could have imagined, and every ad since then has had an amazing response every time.

“I want to bring live local music to people right on their doorstep without having to drive miles or pay hundreds of pounds.”

Registration fees are kept low so that as many people as possible can attend as many events as possible given the current financial situation.
