Leaked Image Reveals Twotone Design Of Oppos Find X7
We've been big fans of Oppo's flagship phones since the launch of the excellent Find. Oppo flirted with a trendy ceramic finish with the X5 and then released the Find X6 Pro this year with a metallic silver vegan leather back. . . With a large round chamber in the center.
The Oppo Find X7 series, due out in early 2024, could be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset (at least in part), and we can certainly expect larger batteries and improved camera sensors.
A match made in heaven?
Thanks to a leaked image shared by Max Jumbo on X/Twitter, we have a clear idea of what to expect from the upcoming Oppo Find X7 series in terms of aesthetics. The brand appears to be improving on the two-tone finish featured on the Find X6 Pro, with a metallic finish now filling out the vegan leather area underneath the large circular camera.
The camera body features a Hasselblad logo with four sensors, including a rectangular lens and possibly a periscope telephoto lens. The flash has been moved to the upper left corner and is separated from the camera body.
Will Find X7 be released worldwide?
With the OnePlus 12 series launched globally, no one knows if Oppo will launch the Find X7 series outside of China. If that were the case, Oppo would have decided to release its flagship Find N2 series globally and limit the Find X6 series to the Chinese market. It's a shame, in my opinion, because, on paper at least, the Find X6 Pro seemed like a winning combination of hardware and style.
Notification slider?
In the leaked marketing image, the Find X7 phone has an alert slider on the left side. If so, it would be Oppo's first phone and perhaps a sign that OnePlus is incorporating aesthetics into its stable philosophy. The truth is that once you experience the ease of use of controlling sound, vibration and notifications using the notification slider, you will never want to go back to it like on any other phone. This is great and one of the main reasons I love reviewing OnePlus phones.
What else can we expect?
Well, aside from at least one model powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and another powered by MediaTek's flagship processor, the Dimensity 9300, we can probably expect 24GB of RAM and a battery of around 5,400mAh. Wireless charging is also likely, especially since it returns with the OnePlus 12, and we can probably expect wired charging speeds to be 150W, but likely closer to the 100W mark.
