Techno Echo: End Of Year Minifestival

Techno Echo: End Of Year Minifestival
Techno Echo and Pyramid Club are delighted to bring you an amazing night of first class electronic music. This is Al-Haram Club's last concert in 2023.

Techno Echo hosts a monthly gathering for women and duo music creators to share knowledge about sound and light technologies. Small, private presentations and demonstrations in a supportive environment with time for bonding and community building. We invite you to meet this amazing group of carefully selected musicians.

Sonya Waters is the only music artist who plays meditative soundtracks for fantasy films. His music is based on rich synth orchestrations interspersed with West Coast mug scenes and acoustic songs. Partially staged episodes are paired with richly textured soundscapes that recall themes from 1960s and 1970s British television, classic library music and haunting folk horror planes.

Japs is the pseudonym of Mia Kelly, a punk-based singer, producer and DJ. Combining elements of indie rock and electronica with a background in sound arts and radio broadcasting, they bring you sweet and soulful sounds and songs.

VARDA are a guitar and synthesizer duo from Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Former Sydney psych band Dandelion brings together the talents of Ru from Sanitary Napkin, Frustration and Alison. You want to be like Boris and/or the Yellow Magic Orchestra. Their music under the radar has been described as a "stunning, soulful mosaic of majestic guitars and dynamics." She is cute and beautiful.

WATEFALLS is a green pop project from Amber Johnson (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa). Ranging from minimal to polyrhythmic whims, analog synthesizers combine with ethereal sounds, beautiful flutes, hypnotic grooves, gentle opening vocals and melodies. He seeks beauty and emotional depth in his musical productions.

Lorazepam is Laura Martin's external pop outlet. Lorazepam's music consists of digital sounds that carefully create melodies using tracks such as a DAW, which easily creates melodies and distorts soundscapes for weak songs.

Special thanks to Creative NZ for supporting the Pyramid Club project.
