Burgeoning Artist Khira Li Releases ClubReady Heater ‘Saint
Mysterious, raw and emotional vocals, sharp and haunting synthesizers, memorable lines and rhythm. These are just a few words to describe Kira Lee's music.
The artist popularly known as Kyra Lee Lindman creates carefully selected melodies with different textures. Today, November 2nd, Lindemann maintains his signature sound with the release of "Saint" on Don Diablo's Hexagon label.
"Saint" features driving beats, energetic techno made to rule the dance floor, hypnotic vocals, powerful beats, praise-ready vocals, shimmering synths and a sense of fierceness and girl power. The track is definitely a combination of musical elements crafted with production skill that create an expertly crafted beat patch.
This track was the third release of the new artist. According to Lindeman, the goal of the song was to create a club track. At this point, reflect on who he was as an artist and what his performances were like. According to her, her relationship with the crowd is difficult because although she is very emotional and crowded on stage, she feels very present even when she is alone.
"I can read energy and I want to channel people's spirits, but at the same time I have to distract myself so I don't go crazy with the situation," he said. "I always feel a little distant, but at the same time I'm very connected."
Then the artist who painted "You Are the Reason" saw the saint and she explained that she was disconnected, giving and receiving energy. This, along with the meditative experience he had in the studio, fueled the creativity behind the track. An avid meditator, she adds that her artwork is often inspired by her spiritual practice, in which case she suddenly receives pure energy before being hit hard. She went on to say that everyone is associated with the idea that everyone is like a saint, which is reflected in the poem where "madness" is often mentioned.
"My meditation experience is definitely similar to what happened with this song," says Lindemann. "It also made me realize that I'm totally in touch with myself. Deep immersion is a great tool. I go to meditate, dig out, and then go back to studying. I'm very, very happy to be at a point in my life where I can use it as a tool."
"Saint" also includes a sample of Linkin Park's "Paper." He uses his drum kit to create "something old [and] new", including the music of his childhood. Len Fake's song "Death By House" was also an inspiration, as he used the same composer in the song. At the same time, he visits the famous Berlin night club Berghain, where Faki used to live, and remembers the club member's teenage years.
Lindeman is the son of Rammstein founder and guitarist Richard Z. Krupe. He said he spent half his childhood in his father's workshop; There he learned how to start a song, come up with ideas and finish a song. His first bars were recorded when he was four years old, and his voice was heard on the Rammstein song "Spieleur" from the album Mutter . He explains that making music is "part of me", but he never thought he would go down this path because "my father was always very successful".
The techno taster says he has a lifetime of experience working in various fields. However, he was always in the studio making music with friends and family, but just for fun. Lindemann then realized it was just a hobby, which led her to create her own project, Khira Lee. She later realized that she needed to create a brand for herself because sometimes she couldn't find the songs she wanted while browsing the console. So she entered the world of production to create "the sound and style that I wanted to create around me."
Given her father's passion for music, the best advice she gave her about making sounds was, “If you want to be rich, don't make music. If you want to be successful, don't make music.'' that Krupe was strict with her and taught her discipline, but with her lessons and sincere passion. The founder of Rammstein and the lead guitarist gave her an instrument when he saw potential in her, but he had to work.
When it comes to her productions, Kira Lee's idea takes time to build a rhythm. Although "Holy" is the "Your Fantasy" singer's third single, she plans to release several more records. Lindeman says one of his upcoming releases, "Whisper," will be faster and darker than his previous singles. He added that the next song "came organically, and I didn't doubt anything: I do what I want and what I feel."
The techno maestro's introduction to dance music began when he heard "Insomnia" by Faithless. This song, like many other Faithless records, is still played by many DJs today, which shows that the five-year-old had an amazing ear for music.
"['Insomnia'] was something cold, dark, but at the same time extremely powerful," says Lindemann. “I remember being very young and to be honest it was a bit scary at that age. But it was magical. He had a punk charm and a beat. [She] patted me on the back, like, 'Yeah, I want to do something.' I want to go out and see the world.
Although Lindemann danced in her classroom, listened to music and imagined herself in public as a child, she didn't know what her dreams were for years. She said she doesn't know what the images mean because she's not a singer, musician or dancer. He later revealed that they were talking about his role as a DJ.
The Berlin-born and Berlin-based artist has now "hit the studio" to write songs and take her voice to the stage, making her dream come true. Lindemann has mastered the art of being honest and authentic during performance and production. Looking back at the beginning of her career, she gave herself advice: "You deserve everything you do."
Although still early in his career, Lindeman promises to make a name for himself in the contemporary dance music scene. Stay tuned for future releases. Will definitely be impressed again.
