Here's The Unique Flip Phone That Could Have Samsung Worried
After weeks of leaks, Tecno has finally officially unveiled its latest foldable phone, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G.
Unveiled at a special event in Singapore, the company's first foldable phone is slim, sleek and has a unique round frame that makes it stand out from the crowd.
It will probably also come in handy as it will compete against the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra in the coming weeks. However, while pricing and availability have yet to be announced, the brand's other devices don't hold up against the competition, so you may find the Phantom V Flip a very attractive alternative, especially given its specifications.
Available in two colors – Mystic Dawn and Iconic Black, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset and has 8GB of RAM. On board is 256GB of internal storage and a 4000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The phone can be charged up to 50% in 15 minutes and the battery can be fully charged in 45 minutes.
The external display is nicknamed "Planet" and has a diagonal of 1.32 inches. It uses an AMOLED panel and has a pixel density of 352ppi.
Gives you access to a wide range of apps and interactive features, including customizable wallpapers and 3D virtual pets. You can also use it to play music, access the camera or reply to messages.
There are, for example, widgets that can set cool weather or a timer.
At the edge of the screen is a camera module shaped like an asteroid belt. It has two cameras: a 64-megapixel main camera, which Tecno says has the highest resolution of any foldable phone to date, and a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera.
When unlocked, the device has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ (2640 x 1080) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 32MP selfie camera.
The design of Tecno Phantom V Flip is inspired by luxury fashion and luxury cars. The case is made of premium classic leather with a lychee pattern.
A unique protective case with fragrance microcapsules on the skin will also appear soon, which will gradually give it a worthy aroma. Customers can choose between Rose, Sea Shore and Cologne fragrances.
Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G will come with Android 13 and Tecno HiOS 13.5 platform. This will activate the round widgets on the front screen.
It will initially be launched in India at a price of Rs 49,999 (around $598). Considering the Galaxy Z Flip 5 starts at $999, that price difference is enough to give Samsung pause.
