Tecno Phantom V Flip Foldable Leaks With A Circular Outer Display, Big Battery

Tecno launched the Phantom V Fold earlier this year, one of the most affordable foldable phones to date, and it looks like the company is preparing another variant. The upcoming Tecno Phantom V Flip has been revealed with a rather round exterior display.

New images of Tecno Phantom V Flip, the trademarked foldable device, have surfaced courtesy of @PassionateGeekz and Newzonly . The images show the design of the foldable phone, which appears to be a slight departure from the V Fold launched earlier this year. It shares the same basic look for the hinge as well as the same design for the side guides.

Interesting and unique here is the Phantom V Flip's foldable screen, which is considerably smaller. The new screen is circular and sits on a ring that houses the camera sensors and LED flash. It looks neat and the display looks ideal for a smartwatch-like interface. It's not necessarily a new idea, as Huawei has also toyed with the idea, but it's still pretty cool and a bit unique compared to the larger screens on flip phones like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Motorola The Razr+. have reduced costs by using a smaller panel.

Also, the report mentions that the external display will be 1.32 inches in diameter, while the Phantom V Flip will have a 6.9-inch internal panel. The device is supposedly powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The cameras surrounding the display appear to include a 64MP main sensor and a 13MP sensor with a 32MP selfie camera inside. The battery is said to be 3,900 or 4,000 mAh, which is bigger than the 3,700 and 3,800 mAh packs in the Motorola Razr+ and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Phantom V Flip could be released in October and will be available in three colors: black, white and purple
