Primary listening: House and Techno

I want UUU - Todd Terry

Grammy-nominated house legend Todd Terry is back with another rapper that reeks of fun and groove punch.

With slapstick bass, disco-style vocals, and fiery keyboards , "UUU Need" is an uptempo swinging track. About a minute into the track, it transitions from high-end summery vibes to dark underground house sounds, back to simple yet effective bass and synth sounds.

Todd Terry is still recovering at this point in his career and will continue to demonstrate why and how he achieved legendary status.

Mercy Fire - Hot Chip Shoes Une Pinku

Despite having been on the scene for nearly two and a half decades, Hot Chip continues to produce gratifying electro-pop songs with style and soulful lyrics.

Fire Of Mercy is the band's first release since 2022's Freakout . For this, they hired Malaysian-Irish producer and songwriter Yon Benko.

For example, "When you go up, are you really coming down? Or is it time to change your life? Are you staring into the mouth of your infidelity?"

Bad Giles - Nia Records

Born in the jungle, Nia Archives is back with another soulful anthem that will get anyone with a sense of rhythm moving.

Bad Girls is a title that represents women in their shows. It's about ignoring the raves that are playing and enjoying the music. Describing the women who come to her shows as "all punk, perfect Bush detail," Nia expresses the same sentiments she displayed on that show.

While we should focus on the music, this video is hard to ignore. The 23-year-old exudes a '90s-influenced clean-party vibe, and it's no wonder he's a visual artist.

Beauty products - no name

From Nonames Sundial , their first full album and second since 2018's "Episode 25" , let's say what everyone thinks: Finally!

The rapper/singer draws inspiration from many of the greats, including Nina Simone, Missy Elliott, Patti Smith and Andre 3000, to write lyrics about social injustice and the availability of beauty, breaking European beauty standards and championing black trade.

But perhaps the most poignant lyrics in this soft, low-key artwork are "Cosplay New Identity, Same Enemy, Me." "
