The Xiaomi Redmi spin-off brand launched the Redmi Note 11 series in India earlier this year. Now, it looks like the company may soon launch its successor, the Redmi Note 12, as a new leak from China has shed light on the phone's internals. Unlike the vanilla Redmi Note 11, the upcoming Note 12 may feature a MediaTek Dimension chipset or even newer. Also Read – Redmi A1 Plus India Release Date Revealed; Learn the details

If the vanilla Redmi Note 12 comes with Dimensity 1080, then the price of the phone could be lower, mostly under Rs 20,000. While this news is exciting, it is just speculation and nothing has been confirmed yet.

Talking about the chipset, Dimensity 1080 is based on 6nm manufacturing process with Mali-G68 GPU. The chipset supports a 200MP camera and supports HyperEngine 3.0. It also supports 4K video recording.

The Redmi Note 12 is rumored to come with an upgraded 50MP primary lens. However, the exact sensor is still unknown. This main lens will be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. Since the chipset supports 4K, the Note 12 can support 4K video recording.

Apart from the vanilla Note 12, rumors suggest two more devices: Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Both can be equipped with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ support.

The vanilla Note 12 is expected to have a 4,980mAh battery, while the Note 12 Pro+ will have a 4,300mAh battery. Although there is a significant battery difference between the two phones, the charging speed should be better on the Pro+.

All of this has yet to be confirmed, so take the information with a grain of salt. Also, with launch still a few months away, the series is expected to go official in early 2023.
