Xiaomi has published information on Weibo (one of the largest social networks in China) that the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition will be powered by the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, which is equivalent to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In other words, the new range-topping Xiaomi Redmi phone should be on par with phones like the Galaxy S23.
The company also revealed that the new Redmi flagship will have up to 24GB of RAM. Why do you need more memory on your phone? Well, who knows, but that's pretty exciting to say the least. The good news about this super-sounding Xiaomi flagship is that unlike the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, it has a good chance of going global. However, it is not clear if the amazing version with ridiculous amount of memory and storage will be available globally. The Redmi lineup is best known for being "affordable premium" in regions like Europe, so it's unlikely that Xiaomi will decide not to release the most expensive model there.
