Samsung Will Update These Galaxy Devices To Android 13

After rolling out to Pixel phones earlier this year, Android 13 is making its way to Samsung Galaxy devices outside of the beta program. Here are the devices that have already received the update and those that will receive it in the coming months.

What's new in Android 13 on Samsung devices?

Android 13 is quite a minor update compared to the previous Android 12. While this update has completely redesigned the Pixel phone platform and introduced the Material You theme with custom colors, this year's update is much smaller overall.

Android 13 brings several system-level changes to Samsung phones, including more colors for Samsung's Material You, Color Palette. Themed desktop icons now support third-party apps. There are also various privacy features at lower levels, but most of the innovations in Galaxy smartphones come from Samsung.

One UI 5.0 is Samsung's latest skin for Android 13 and it brings some new features. This includes "Privacy Discovery," a new privacy and security panel similar to what Google creates when sharing photos; new lock screen with more customizable features; "Service mode", when a phone that hides user data is sent for repair; collection widgets; and more The update was supposed to bring multiplayer support eventually, but Samsung removed it during the beta program.

Samsung Galaxy S devices with Android 13

Galaxy devices with Android 13 foldable

Samsung Galaxy Note devices running Android 13
