Xiaomi smartphone brand has announced the launch date of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus in India. The company announced via the official Redmi India Twitter account that the phone will be launched in the country on January 5, 2023.
"Best smartphone camera resolution = #RedmiNote12 Pro + 5G. This 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝐌𝐏 camera from #SuperNote is the only camera you'll ever need. PS Your 𝟏𝟐: 𝟏𝟐 wish will come true soon 1/5/2023," the company tweeted.
The company has also launched a website dedicated to smartphones at mi.com. According to the website, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus will be equipped with a 200MP rear camera. The smartphone will be connected to the 5G network. While the trailer only mentions the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, Xiaomi is likely to bring the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro to the country.

Already available in China, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus may feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ OLED display. The phone display can have up to 120Hz refresh rate, and the smartphone will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
To tackle the camera features, the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is said to feature a quad rear camera setup. Xiaomi has already confirmed the phone's 200MP primary sensor. The main sensor can be paired with three other sensors. For selfies, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus may have a 16MP front camera.
The device is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery. It may offer support for fast charging up to 120W. In India, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus will compete with the Realme 10 Pro Plus, which was recently launched in India. Realme 10 Pro Plus is powered by 6nm MediaTek Dimenisty 1080 5G SoC with a starting price of Rs 24,999. It has three models: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB.
